Still under my skin. Still someone I didn\u2019t want to let go of.<\/p><p>I wrote the track with that push-pull in mind \u2014 the lyrics talk about doubt, ego, distance\u2026 but also hope.<\/p><p>There\u2019s this longing to go back to a place where things made sense. A place that feels like home.<\/p><p>And even if I didn\u2019t know where we were going, I just knew I didn\u2019t want to lose her.<\/p><p>\u201cWhen it\u2019s dark I will show you the light \/ When you feel like you\u2019re lost, know that I won\u2019t let go\u201d \u2014<\/p><p>That chorus became the heart of the song. Simple words, but heavy meaning.<\/p><p>It\u2019s not about being perfect. It\u2019s about being there.<\/p><p>But the making of the song? That was a whole journey on its own.<\/p><p>At the time, things were slowing down in the studio world.<\/p><p>Sessions with other writers and producers started drying up \u2014 unless you had the budget.<\/p><p>People wanted upfront payments instead of working on percentages, so I did what I had to do:<\/p><p>I locked myself in my own studio and started building something solo.<\/p><p>I found this instrumental from a YouTube producer, and as soon as I started playing around with it, the topline ideas started flowing.<\/p><p>They came fast and naturally \u2014 and I knew right away, this one mattered.<\/p><p>I kept refining the toplines until they felt just right, then built the lyrics on top, recorded the final takes, stacked the harmonies, laid down the adlibs\u2026 and mixed it all on my own.<\/p><p>But even after all that \u2014 the song sat on a shelf for nearly two years.<\/p><p>My manager really liked it, but he wanted me to hold onto it.<\/p><p>He thought maybe something even stronger would come \u2014 that this track might be better as an album cut.<\/p><p>But eventually, I got tired of waiting.<\/p><p>So I made the call.<\/p><p>Found someone on Fiverr to master the song. Got another guy to design the artwork.<\/p><p>And once everything was ready \u2014 I packaged it up and dropped it.<\/p><p>This track\u2026 it\u2019s personal.<\/p><p>It\u2019s the one I\u2019ve put the most of myself into. From the lyrics to the vocals to every step of the process \u2014 it\u2019s mine.<\/p><p>And even after all this time, it\u2019s still the one I\u2019m the most proud
